Women’s Health Nursing (WHN) is the peer-reviewed official journal of the Korean Society of Women Health Nursing of the Republic of Korea (South Korea). It was launched in 1995 with the previous primary title, the Yŏsŏng Kŏn'gang Kanho Hakhoe chi (pISSN: 1225-9543;). Its English titles (secondry titles) were Journal of Korean Women's Health Nursing Academic Society from Vol. 1, no. 1, 1995 to Vol. 6, no. 1, 2000, the Journal of Korean Academy of Women's Health Nursing (Vol. 6, No. 2, 2000 - Vol. 7, No . 2, 2001, and Korean Journal of Women Health Nursing (Vol. 7, No. 3, 2001 to Vol. 18, No. 1, 2012). Yŏsŏng Kŏn'gang Kanho Hakhoe chi has been continued by the title, the Korean Journal of Women Health Nursing (pISSN: 2287-1640, eISSN: 2093-7695) since Vol. 18, No. 2, 2012 to Vol. 29, No. 4, 2023.
Since January 2024 it has continued under the current title, Women’s Health Nursing (Vol. 30, No. 1 – present; pISSN:3022-7666, eISSN:3022-8247). The official abbreviated title is Womens Health Nurs. It is published quarterly on the last day of every March, June, September, and December. Any supplementary or special issues may be published. The number of print copies per issue is 60. The copyright, including the right of online transmission, is owned by the Korean Society of Women Health Nursing. This journal is supported by a Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies grant funded by the Korean government (Ministry of Science and IT).
Readership
Women’s Health Nursing is primarily for nurse scholars and nurses in the field of women’s health and maternity nursing. Its readership can be expanded to other positions:
• Researchers interested in women’s health issues
• Students seeking to understand the recent trends in women’s health nursing.
